Franciacorta is Italy’s answer to Champagne. These traditional method sparkling wines are made with the same grapes and in the same painstaking manner as Champagne. The Marzaghe Premier is a blanc de blancs in the saten style—a unique style of sparkling wine made only in Franciacorta. The wine is bottled at a lower atmospheric pressure than usual, to create a silky and velvety mouthfeel. Ripe orchard fruit and a luscious bouquet melt onto the palate with the creamy mousse. This glamorous wine is virtually unavailable in the US.
