The Castellana is the flagship Super-Tuscan blend of Castello di Amorosa, the producer which shot the genre to popularity in Napa Valley. The 2015 is a blend of Napa Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, with Sangiovese contributing the signature Italian spice. Dark fruit, figs, and dark chocolate are dusted with hints of herbs, dried rose petals and sweet oak spices.
